Essence of Christmas

Image result for christmas"

Christmas (which means "Feast day of Christ") is a Christian holiday that refers to the birth of Jesus (whom Christians believe is the Son of God), and a cultural holiday for non-Christians. The day known as Christmas Day is celebrated on the 25th day of December.

Did you know that...The word Christmas has its origin from the old English term Cristes Maesse, meaning “Christ's Mass.” Though the word Christ is commonly used as Jesus' name, it is actually a title.

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. A time for us to understand the lessons from Jesus & reflect on them. Jesus brought a new religion based on love & the vision of a God who is full of compassion & forgiveness; a vision of doing everything with a positive mindset & from a place of love.

In short it is for remembering the lessons and sacrifices of God... and it is also a day to forgive others, and spreading the love.

The UN theme for this year is:"Indigenous Languages matter for sustainable development, peace building and reconciliation."

Why is indigenous languages important: Indigenous people are the native people in a territory. They have historical and cultural ties with the land in which they live. Indigenous people maintain traditions that have been followed for generations.

Only few language technologies have been developed in lesser-used, minority languages – from basic ones such as grammar and spell checkers, to complex ones such as automatic summarization, search engines, speech recognition, etc.

Image result for happy school movement
The Department of Education - Region 1 had launched the “Happy Schools Movement” to boost the efficient implementation of the K to 12 basic education curriculum in the Ilocos provinces.

The movement seeks to promote every school in the region as a better and enjoyable place to study.Dr. Malcolm Garma, DepEd Region 1 regional director, said the regional launch of the HSM was held at the Vigan Convention Center in this city on May 20, 2019.Through this program, the learners’ full potential is given the greatest attention by creating a happier and more positive school culture.

As a student me this is a very helpful way for us to learn and to enjoy our lessons. And because if this we will learn more efficiently because we feel less pressured.

Buwan ng Wika Celeb. "Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino

The Phillipine has 130 language. And language is used for communication. Communication occur when people interact by using body gestures or by saying or writing words and communication is the best way to say something to someone but these past years, generations by generations I think that the languages that are can not used anywhere are slowly fading away.

We celebrate "Buwan ng Wika" annually to appreciate and acknowledge the languages such as our mother tongue which is "Iloko". Many people say Ilocano is a language but Ilocanos are the people who's first language is Iloko. And by celebrating the Buwan ng Wika we sharpen or remember the deep words the Ilocano people used to say.

Many people don't really care about this and I think because of this their language is slowly fading and being mixed with other languages. "the first language we learn is

My reflection of my first grading period on ICT

Image result for picture of reflection
On the past months of learning about blogs I learned that blogs don't usually get popular unless they are very helpful and has proof to support it and the word "Blog" is the combination of Web and Log.

The problems that I encountered are connection to the internet, tools to help me publish and grammatical errors.

I addressed them as thing or stuffs like a strong boss on games and can only be defeated when you are strong but when you work hard and gain more knowledge about things I can defeat them.

Moving on, I will try my best and do what ever I can do.

National Disaster Resilience Month Insight

“The nature might be beautiful but it’s wrath is dreadful”. Disasters is one of the biggest reasons why people die. And to prevent this we prepare ourselves. National Disaster Resilience Month is a month to remember everything taught to us when disasters come.

This month is very useful and may save our lives. We prepare ourselves by doing some drills. This drills might look useless now but when disasters strikes it’s the most useful thing that will come to your mind and might save your life. People who are ignorant might not participate in this drills but don’t mind them.

Nutrition Month Insight

A wise man once said “Health is Wealth”. On July we celebrate nutrition month on the Philippines annually to remember all of the things about good lifestyles and eat nutritious food and we celebrate this through Activities such as Nutri jingle and etc. And the theme for the year is “Kumain ng wasto, maging aktibo, push natin to”.

To me July is really fun because of the activities and stuff. And because of this we, students gain knowledge in stuff through these activities, Things that will help us in the future. Through these activities we students will also get to know each other more that makes our bonds stronger, and through this we also learn how to be strong and etc.

They say that these activities are useless and just an additional work. But for me this is a very helpful in a lot of things that will help us in life. We should always participate in stuff like this because through this we learn a lot of stuff and for us to teach to the future kids / generations.

National Simultaneous Earthquake Drills is one of the best thing we can do because it reviews people of how to or what to do during and after earthquakes.

A letter to Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,

A pleasant morning to you Mr. President. I appreciate your hard work for cleaning the country and lessening the crime but don’t you think it’s better to train the Pnp more so that less people will die on raids such as drug raids, I am not telling that the Pnp is not good but why not make them better? I would really appreciate it if you will give this a thought and thank you for your time.

                                                                                                                        Yours truly,

Independence Day Insight

Independence is being able to stand for one’s self or freedom from someone. And on June 12, Philippines is annually celebrating “Independence day “to remember the sacrifices of our Heroic ancestors for our beloved country.
But I think we are not free yet because somewhere on south china sea our Islands there are still colonized by the Chinese like Scallborough shore. And we still need help from other countries.
I think there’s no such thing as Independence because I believe in the saying “no one is an Island”
